Yes, it's true.... another broken arm for Hudson!!!! About 11:00 on April 6th Hudson and Greydon were jumping off the couch onto a pile of throw pillows on the floor. Randy told them to quit, and they did for a minute, but as soon as Dad left the room they were back at it. The next thing we knew Hudson was crying. Randy and I knew immediately from the cry that something was broken. Sure enough! We took him to the ER in Logan and they did X-rays and gave pain meds, but the orthopedist on call said that we needed to take him to Primary Children's for surgery. We got to Primarys and had to sit on a rapid treatment unit until he could be added on to the end of the surgery schedule that night. He had surgery about 7:30pm. Things went well. Hudson had completely broken the head off of his humerus and it required 3 pins. We spent the night at Primarys, so that Hudson could be watched for effects of anesthesia and have IV pain meds. Some time in Hudson's medicated state, he told us that Greydon had told him to cannonball off the couch backward. It's no wonder that his arm broke!!!! Thank goodness for big brothers ( Just Kidding)!
In the rush of throwing a bag together to stay at the hospital, I didn't get my camera, so I took these pics on my phone. The quality isn't the best, but at least we have some memories.
